Seinfeld "Sermon" Inspires Andy Stanley-NOT The Bible

Andy Stanley is trying to be clever (or something), when he begins his new "sermon" series by saying he got the idea of "Pack Your Bags" from a Jerry Seinfeld routine. He acts like it's no big deal to ignore God's Word and base his teaching on whatever he wants. In this "sermon," he eventually gets around to quoting a few Bible verses, but it's just window dressing on (yet another) motivational speech.

"No Gospel for you!"

This man is supposed to be the best of the best: his church has tens of thousands of attendees; his ideas are implemented by thousands of pastors; his books are a reference for many Christian leaders... and yet he blathers on about almost anything but the Word of God. CAUTION: This is a very disturbing video. This is what happens when the false gospel of Dominionism/ Signs & Wonders/New Apostolic Reformation replaces the real Gospel of Christ and Him Crucified for the forgiveness of sins. Recently, in an exchange on his Facebook page, Dr. Michael Brown was challenged (by Steven Kozar, Chris Rice, @Aspree and others) to call out these false teachers in order to protect his listeners from their very bad doctrine. False teachers like Jennifer LeClaire, Heidi Baker, Bill Johnson and Benny Hinn. Nobody suggested that Dr. Brown personally attack these people, but simply compare their teachings to Scripture. He repeatedly refused. Strangely,  he did not fully endorse them; instead he used vague generalizations like "as far as I know these are fine Christians."  Dr. Brown wants to be respected as a very knowledgeable scholar and expert, but he continually expresses ignorance about the people and teachings from within his very own movement. Dr. Brown promotes these people on his own radio show, and he's been a guest on Benny Hinn's TV show.

Here are a few screen shots where Dr. Michael Brown (vaguely) supports these people and says "the greater error I see is what some folks are posting here, sad to say."

Dr. Brown got really upset when I mentioned Heidi Baker along with other known NAR false teachers (he responded to my comment, but then deleted my comment, before he deleted the entire post):

Michael Brown Can't Defend "Sneaky Squid Spirit"-Repeatedly Changes the Subject

As he always does, Michael Brown says he wants to hear the thoughts of callers so he can "have a conversation," but he interrupts Chris Rosebrough and totally changes the topic and turns this into a domineering diatribe to prop up his favorite hyper-charismatic doctrines. Brown fully supports crazy false teachers like Jennifer LeClaire, but becomes very ambiguous whenever he's confronted with the facts. He will not look into a single idiotic false prophecy from LeClaire or anybody else. He never does any actual research on the people he supports; people like Rick Joyner, Bill Johnson and Jennifer LeClaire. He's a hyper-charismatic cheerleader with a big microphone and a very gullible audience. 

Here's a recording of the exchange he had with Pastor Rosebrough on his live radio show on May 5, 2017. Notice how many times he interrupts and changes the subject. Notice how he pretends to just barely remember that he talked to Chris Rosebrough about the New Apostolic Reformation last year. Notice how the guy who controls the microphone controls the conversation. This is how you dominate and control others, while wanting to appear fair and reasonable:

If Dr. Michael Brown was serious about clamping down on all of the crazy, blasphemous nonsense in his beloved hyper-charismatic/Signs & Wonders/New Apostolic Reformation movement, he would take an afternoon and listen to the twisting of scripture and false prophecies that happen every single day within his own fold, and then he would actually confront it. But he never does. And, it appears, he never will. He admits that crazy stuff happens in his movement, but he always describes it as a rare occurrence that comes from the most extreme fringe members. But he is right in the middle of the whole thing, propping it up, day in and day out.

A long-time advocate of Centering Prayer, Cynthia has worked closely with Thomas Keating and Bruno Barnhart."

 

Here's how William Paul Young is described:

These are certainly very nice people who sincerely believe what they believe, but it's obvious that they are not having a Christian conference; this is a complete departure from Biblical Christianity. Yet, Young's book The Shack, and it's companion movie is considered "must-see" and "must-read" by many Evangelical Christians.

Wouldn't it have been more honest to say: "This is a CD of various catch-phrases and slogans, accompanied by music. Jennifer LeClaire wants more money."

Real musicians are often making their entire albums available for FREE on various music websites, like Bandcamp and Soundcloud; but Jennifer puts this video of short samples on YouTube, without allowing anyone to hear the whole thing. Wait... this CD is a prophetic "word from God" but you need to send LeClaire $15.00 if you want to hear it?? 

No thanks, Jennifer, we've got the actual Word of God.

Lakewood Church: "Stand Up for False Prophecy, Sit Down for God's Word"

These 5 minutes (from Joel Osteen's sister) say almost everything you need to know about the gigantic, slick, well-funded, man-centered and extremely popular apostate church:

 

  • False definition of a "Pastor."
  • False understanding of what The Word of God actually is.
  • False understanding of how God speaks.
  • False "Word of Faith" teaching that we can declare and decree things into existence.
  • Complete elimination of God's corrective Word-this "word from god" is more like something from a slick fortune teller who knows how to work the crowd and build up enthusiasm.
  • Puffing up the crowd with false hope and vague promises that can't be tested.
  • Blaspheming God by having the crowd stand up for this lady's "pile of Shemitah" false prophecy but then having them sit down when she (eventually) reads a Bible passage.

    Hillsong Lead Pastor Promotes F-Bomb T-Shirt

    Hillsong Church lead pastor (and model/clothing company owner) Esther Houston has a video on her YouTube Channel with a model wearing a t-shirt with the f-bomb, as seen in the video below. Esther Houston appears in the video right after the "F-bomb" t-shirt model.

    The Hillsong Church website clearly describes her as a lead pastor:

    Does this need further explanation? Has your lead pastor ever been associated with models wearing expletives? Doesn't anyone at Hillsong have enough decency to realize this is setting a bad example? In truth, it seems that some Hillsong Pastors have a very worldly version of decency.     “Likewise, I want women to adorn themselves with proper clothing, modestly and discreetly, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or costly garments; but rather by means of good works, as befits women making claims of godliness.”

    The Museum of Idolatry previously covered another concerning issue with Hillsong lead pastor Esther Houston regarding their direct URL linking to her sexually sensual modeling page directly from the Hillsong website. On top of that, Esther Houston has been known to post inappropriate photos on Instagram (and then delete them when confronted):

    There is simply no excuse for any of this. The leadership needs to ask God to grant them repentance, and anyone who is a part of the Hillsong Church "ministry" should seriously consider finding a church that values the things of God more than the things of this world. The inappropriate behavior of "Pastor" Esther Houston is just the tip of the iceberg: Hillsong has a long history of false teaching, manipulation and abuse. If you think that's an exaggeration, please read the extensive information in the links below.

    One last thought:

           We at Pirate Christian Media are not interested in simply getting web hits to increase numbers (and thus post controversial things like this to get more views). We are very concerned that gigantic, corrupt media empires like Hillsong, need to be exposed, and the Evangelical Industrial Complex will not do it. Most of the so-called "trusted leaders" within Evangelicalism want to look the other way and pretend everything is okay.  

    Posting these kinds of lewd stories is not fun for us, and we certainly don't intend to cause more people to stumble by posting questionable photographs and/or videos.  But if nobody exposes these things, they will only get worse. We feel it's necessary to put this stuff in people's faces (so to speak) in order to shake people up.

    Hillsong Pastor Diego Simila (also known as the Naked Cowboy) has shown up again in a disgusting "costume" at a Christmas party for Hillsong's Pastrix Esther Houston. Houston thought it would be a good idea to post this on Instagram (it was removed within a few hours of this article being posted). This photo looks like it came from a drug dealer party or something, but it didn't: this is the culture of some of the leaders at Hillsong:

     We expect the staff at Hillsong to pretend that this didn't happen, then to admit it happened but it's not a big deal (because we don't understand their version of "fun") and then we expect Hillsong to turn this into a story about how their critics are too harsh and negative (and jealous) and take things "out of context." But seriously, is this what Christian pastors should be doing??
