"Thrive Conference Video"-Cool People Becoming Effective Visionary Leaders of Influence and Stuff!!

Wow! Look at all the cool people doing amazing things at this AWESOME conference!!

(If you decide to attend, please be aware that most of what happens at this conference takes place in slow motion.)

Here are some screenshots of the vague, vision-casting, Dream Destiny Thingy Doctrine that this organization is teaching:

If you're really committed to this conference, you'll cough up the extra $199 for the "Gold Circle Pass" so you can interact with the Evangelical Superstars who otherwise cannot intermingle with normal people:

Seinfeld "Sermon" Inspires Andy Stanley-NOT The Bible

Andy Stanley is trying to be clever (or something), when he begins his new "sermon" series by saying he got the idea of "Pack Your Bags" from a Jerry Seinfeld routine. He acts like it's no big deal to ignore God's Word and base his teaching on whatever he wants. In this "sermon," he eventually gets around to quoting a few Bible verses, but it's just window dressing on (yet another) motivational speech.

"No Gospel for you!"

This man is supposed to be the best of the best: his church has tens of thousands of attendees; his ideas are implemented by thousands of pastors; his books are a reference for many Christian leaders... and yet he blathers on about almost anything but the Word of God. Watch this 6 minute clip and contrast it to the Apostle Paul saying "I preach Christ and Him crucified." If you're really brave and want to waste even more time, listen to this entire (painful) "sermon" about how to do more and try harder here (you'll even get to watch a dramatic intro video about a duffle bag!)...

Jeff Jansen Receives Supernatural 50 Carat Ruby from Angel

From the Sid Roth's It's Supernatural Facebook livestream, here's a tall tale that would make Huckleberry Finn blush, this is a "behind the scenes" video of Jeff Jansen telling Sid Roth about another one of his angelic encounters:

By the way, the charismatic cheerleader (and "serious scholar") Dr. Michael Brown approves of Sid Roth.

Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you who practice lawlessness.’
— Matthew 7: 22-23
For false Christs and false prophets will arise and will show great signs and wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even the elect.
— Mathew 24: 24
But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will also be false teachers among you, who will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing swift destruction upon themselves. Many will follow their sensuality, and because of them the way of the truth will be maligned; and in their greed they will exploit you with false words; their judgment from long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep.
— 2 Peter 2: 1-3
Then that lawless one will be revealed whom the Lord will slay with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of His coming; that is, the one whose coming is in accord with the activity of Satan, with all power and signs and false wonders, and with all the deception of wickedness for those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth so as to be saved. For this reason God will send upon them a deluding influence so that they will believe what is false, in order that they all may be judged who did not believe the truth, but took pleasure in wickedness.
— 2 Thessalonians 2: 8-12

"40 Years of Dance" Church Video... Relevancy FAIL!

Warning, you can't unsee this video from New Community Church...

(Certainly, this video was intended as light-hearted fun, but perhaps it can be seen mostly as an embarrassment.)

Dr. Michael Brown (Sort of) Approves of These "Fine Christians..." Watch at your Own Risk!

CAUTION: This is a very disturbing video. This is what happens when the false gospel of Dominionism/ Signs & Wonders/New Apostolic Reformation replaces the real Gospel of Christ and Him Crucified for the forgiveness of sins. This is a compilation video featuring Heidi and Rolland Baker and their fellow "New Apostolic Reformation" friends: Bill and Beni Johnson (links to all the complete videos are at the bottom of this page):

Recently, in an exchange on his Facebook page, Dr. Michael Brown was challenged (by Steven Kozar, Chris Rice, @Aspree and others) to call out these false teachers in order to protect his listeners from their very bad doctrine. False teachers like Jennifer LeClaire, Heidi Baker, Bill Johnson and Benny Hinn. Nobody suggested that Dr. Brown personally attack these people, but simply compare their teachings to Scripture. He repeatedly refused. Strangely,  he did not fully endorse them; instead he used vague generalizations like "as far as I know these are fine Christians."  Dr. Brown wants to be respected as a very knowledgeable scholar and expert, but he continually expresses ignorance about the people and teachings from within his very own movement. Dr. Brown promotes these people on his own radio show, and he's been a guest on Benny Hinn's TV show.

Here are a few screen shots where Dr. Michael Brown (vaguely) supports these people and says "the greater error I see is what some folks are posting here, sad to say."

Dr. Brown got really upset when I mentioned Heidi Baker along with other known NAR false teachers (he responded to my comment, but then deleted my comment, before he deleted the entire post):

Here's some of the exchange between @Aspree and Dr. Brown:

Dr. Michael Brown is using "straw man" arguments and other logical fallacies along with obvious deflection techniques.

Our hope is that these shocking videos (featuring the very people he clearly supports) will eventually cause he and his many followers to see what's really going on within the "New Apostolic Reformation/Hyper-Charismatic/Signs & Wonders" movement.

Here's where you can see the videos for yourself. You will discover that we did not "take things out of context" or "make it look like they said something they didn't really say." Please do your homework:

Absolutely Bizarre "Sermon" Promo Video from Life.Church

We can just let this bizarre video speak for itself:

Where is the wise person? Where is the teacher of the law? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe. Jews demand signs and Greeks look for wisdom, but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles, but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength.
— 1 Corinthians 1: 20-25

Michael Brown Can't Defend "Sneaky Squid Spirit"-Repeatedly Changes the Subject

As he always does, Michael Brown says he wants to hear the thoughts of callers so he can "have a conversation," but he interrupts Chris Rosebrough and totally changes the topic and turns this into a domineering diatribe to prop up his favorite hyper-charismatic doctrines. Brown fully supports crazy false teachers like Jennifer LeClaire, but becomes very ambiguous whenever he's confronted with the facts. He will not look into a single idiotic false prophecy from LeClaire or anybody else. He never does any actual research on the people he supports; people like Rick Joyner, Bill Johnson and Jennifer LeClaire. He's a hyper-charismatic cheerleader with a big microphone and a very gullible audience.

Here's a recording of the exchange he had with Pastor Rosebrough on his live radio show on May 5, 2017. Notice how many times he interrupts and changes the subject. Notice how he pretends to just barely remember that he talked to Chris Rosebrough about the New Apostolic Reformation last year. Notice how the guy who controls the microphone controls the conversation. This is how you dominate and control others, while wanting to appear fair and reasonable:

If Dr. Michael Brown was serious about clamping down on all of the crazy, blasphemous nonsense in his beloved hyper-charismatic/Signs & Wonders/New Apostolic Reformation movement, he would take an afternoon and listen to the twisting of scripture and false prophecies that happen every single day within his own fold, and then he would actually confront it. But he never does. And, it appears, he never will. He admits that crazy stuff happens in his movement, but he always describes it as a rare occurrence that comes from the most extreme fringe members. But he is right in the middle of the whole thing, propping it up, day in and day out.

Here's Michael Brown making a guest appearance on (complete fraud and heretic) Benny Hinn's show:

Here's Michael Brown "having a conversation" with Phil Johnson in 2013 (notice how he interrupts and continually avoids the discussion of false teachers in his own movement):

“Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world.”

— 1 John 4: 1

“For God is not a God of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints.”

— 1 Corinthians 14: 33

“An appalling and horrible thing has happened in the land: the prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests rule at their direction; my people love to have it so, but what will you do when the end comes?”

— Jeremiah 5: 30-31

“And her prophets have smeared whitewash for them, seeing false visions and divining lies for them, saying, ‘Thus says the Lord God,’ when the Lord has not spoken.”

— Ezekiel 22: 28

“Your prophets have seen for you false and deceptive visions; they have not exposed your iniquity
to restore your fortunes, but have seen for you oracles that are false and misleading.”

— Lamentations 2: 14

“For false christs and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect.”

— Matthew 24: 24

Visual Proof That Modern Churches are (Much) Better

Wanna see a bunch of neanderthals living in the dark ages? Click through these photos and look at these silly old churches having old-fashioned worship services:

(Pretty embarrassing, isn't it??)

But now, take a look at these modern church services. THIS is what works! THIS is how you accurately and reverently worship the sovereign God of the universe!

(The following are all real snippets of modern Evangelical "worship services" from their own YouTube channels)

"Pastor" Ed Young, Jr. Skips Around the Stage as Adults Applaud

This is one of the biggest "pastors" in America. This is not satire. This was part of a horrible sermon series. Listen to Chris Rosebrough discuss this on this episode of Fighting for the Faith.

In case you're thinking, "Well at least he's getting people to come to church..." you need to read this:

The Seeker-Friendly, Purpose-Driven Cornucopia of False Teaching

Shack Author Shares His New Age Mystical Side

Here's a conference where only three people will be speaking (one of them is William Paul Young):

Trinity: The Soul of Creation

Here's a description of what they'll be talking about from their home page:

"Belief in a Trinitarian God is not primarily a Christian theological revelation as much as it is a metaphor for the nature of reality, both seen and unseen.

We find the pattern of dynamic relationship in the very structure of the atom, in our families, in ecosystems and economies. It is a pattern of mutual giving and receiving: in a word, Love. If Trinity is the model for Creation (Genesis 1:26-27), then it is a relational, benevolent universe.

Rohr, Bourgeault, and Young believe the Trinity—fully experienced and enjoyed—has the capacity to change everything. We already participate within this dance whether we realize it or not. But when we consciously engage in loving communion, we open ourselves to being transformed at the deepest levels.

We hope you leave with an entirely different way of knowing yourself and the world. Our teachers offer not mere information but wisdom that has implications for theology, psychology, science, and politics."

Does this sound like Christianity or some kind of New Age Mysticism? Here's a description of the speakers:

"Richard Rohr is a Franciscan priest of the New Mexico Province. He is the founder of the Center for Action and Contemplation and academic dean of the CAC’s Living School in Albuquerque, New Mexico. An internationally recognized author and spiritual leader, Fr. Richard teaches primarily on incarnational mysticism, non-dual consciousness, and contemplation, with a particular emphasis on how these affect the social justice issues of our time."

"Cynthia Bourgeault is a modern day mystic, Episcopal priest, writer, and internationally recognized retreat leader. Cynthia divides her time between solitude at her seaside hermitage in Maine and traveling globally to teach the Christian contemplative and Wisdom path. A long-time advocate of Centering Prayer, Cynthia has worked closely with Thomas Keating and Bruno Barnhart."

Here's how William Paul Young is described:

"Wm Paul Young is author of the best-selling novel, The Shack. In this innovative, yet true-to-Scripture exploration of Trinity, Paul wrestles with the timeless question, “Where is God in a world of suffering and pain?” Paul has “the imagination of a writer and the passion of a theologian,” as Eugene Peterson says. His recent work of fiction, Eve, offers breathtaking discoveries that challenge traditional beliefs about who we are and how we’re made, helping us see each other as our Creator does—complete, unique, and not constrained by cultural rules or limitations."

These are certainly very nice people who sincerely believe what they believe, but it's obvious that they are not having a Christian conference; this is a complete departure from Biblical Christianity. Yet, Young's book The Shack, and it's companion movie is considered "must-see" and "must-read" by many Evangelical Christians.

The Shack Movie Review by Pastor Ted Giese

Galatians 1:6-9  “I am amazed that you are so quickly deserting Him who called you by the grace of Christ, for a different gospel; which is really not another; only there are some who are disturbing you and want to distort the gospel of Christ. But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be accursed! As we have said before, so I say again now, if any man is preaching to you a gospel contrary to what you received, he is to be accursed!

Dream Wild Mashup: Prophetic Words, Songs and Declarations by Jennifer LeClaire

This is NOT satire, this is real:

Jennifer LeClaire is actually trying to sell CDs of this useless "prophetic" drivel, accompanied by some music. Her website says this: "This is a CD of prophetic words, sounds and decrees that defy impossibilities." Huh? Wouldn't it have been more honest to say: "This is a CD of various catch-phrases and slogans, accompanied by music. Jennifer LeClaire wants more money."

Real musicians are often making their entire albums available for FREE on various music websites, like Bandcamp and Soundcloud; but Jennifer puts this video of short samples on YouTube, without allowing anyone to hear the whole thing. Wait... this CD is a prophetic "word from God" but you need to send LeClaire $15.00 if you want to hear it??

No thanks, Jennifer, we've got the actual Word of God.

Pastor David Hughes Jumps Up and Down on Gigantic Couch

Is it any surprise that this ridiculous "pastor" completely mishandles the Word of God? Is it any surprise that he gives a totally Law-based motivational speech that tries to manipulate his audience into doing more?

Listen to the sermon review on this episode of Fighting for the Faith:

Here's the comedian Galagher from the 1980's:

Lakewood Church: "Stand Up for False Prophecy, Sit Down for God's Word"

These 5 minutes (from Joel Osteen's sister) say almost everything you need to know about the gigantic, slick, well-funded, man-centered and extremely popular apostate church:

  • False definition of a "Pastor."
  • False understanding of what The Word of God actually is.
  • False understanding of how God speaks.
  • False "Word of Faith" teaching that we can declare and decree things into existence.
  • Complete elimination of God's corrective Word-this "word from god" is more like something from a slick fortune teller who knows how to work the crowd and build up enthusiasm.
  • Puffing up the crowd with false hope and vague promises that can't be tested.
  • Blaspheming God by having the crowd stand up for this lady's "pile of Shemitah" false prophecy but then having them sit down when she (eventually) reads a Bible passage.

Here's the full sermon (after the Lakewood commercials and emotionally manipulative praise music): Lisa Comes - Press Through Until You Breakthrough

Hillsong Lead Pastor Promotes F-Bomb T-Shirt

Hillsong Church lead pastor (and model/clothing company owner) Esther Houston has a video on her YouTube Channel with a model wearing a t-shirt with the f-bomb, as seen in the video below. Esther Houston appears in the video right after the "F-bomb" t-shirt model.

The Hillsong Church website clearly describes her as a lead pastor:

Does this need further explanation? Has your lead pastor ever been associated with models wearing expletives? Doesn't anyone at Hillsong have enough decency to realize this is setting a bad example? In truth, it seems that some Hillsong Pastors have a very worldly version of decency. See: Disgusting Hillsong Santa Has a "Package" for You

“Likewise, I want women to adorn themselves with proper clothing, modestly and discreetly, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or costly garments; but rather by means of good works, as befits women making claims of godliness.”

    — 1 Timothy 2: 9-10

The Museum of Idolatry previously covered another concerning issue with Hillsong lead pastor Esther Houston regarding their direct URL linking to her sexually sensual modeling page directly from the Hillsong website. On top of that, Esther Houston has been known to post inappropriate photos on Instagram (and then delete them when confronted):

Not many of you should become teachers, my brothers, for you know that we who teach will be judged with greater strictness
    — James 3: 1

There is simply no excuse for any of this. The leadership needs to ask God to grant them repentance, and anyone who is a part of the Hillsong Church "ministry" should seriously consider finding a church that values the things of God more than the things of this world. The inappropriate behavior of "Pastor" Esther Houston is just the tip of the iceberg: Hillsong has a long history of false teaching, manipulation and abuse. If you think that's an exaggeration, please read the extensive information in the links below.

“Do not love the world or the things of the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world-the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life-is not from the Father but is from the world.”— 1 John 1: 15-16
“I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what it the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. ”— Romans 12: 1-2
“For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you abstain from sexual immorality; that each of you know how to control his own body in holiness and honor, not in the passion of lust like the Gentiles who do not know God.”— 1 Thessalonians 4: 3-5

    One last thought:

We at Pirate Christian Media are not interested in simply getting web hits to increase numbers (and thus post controversial things like this to get more views). We are very concerned that gigantic, corrupt media empires like Hillsong, need to be exposed, and the Evangelical Industrial Complex will not do it. Most of the so-called "trusted leaders" within Evangelicalism want to look the other way and pretend everything is okay.

Posting these kinds of lewd stories is not fun for us, and we certainly don't intend to cause more people to stumble by posting questionable photographs and/or videos.  But if nobody exposes these things, they will only get worse. We feel it's necessary to put this stuff in people's faces (so to speak) in order to shake people up.

Disgusting Hillsong Santa Has a "Package" For You

Hillsong Pastor Diego Simila (also known as the Naked Cowboy) has shown up again in a disgusting "costume" at a Christmas party for Hillsong's Pastrix Esther Houston. Houston thought it would be a good idea to post this on Instagram (it was removed within a few hours of this article being posted). This photo looks like it came from a drug dealer party or something, but it didn't: this is the culture of some of the leaders at Hillsong:

Here's an article about this from ChurchWatch Central: Simila's Comeback: Hillsong's Naked Santa Puts Hillsong's Naked Cowboy to Shame

Here's another article from Pulpit and Pen: Hillsong's Naked Cowboy is Back-Except Now It's Naked Santa!

We expect the staff at Hillsong to pretend that this didn't happen, then to admit it happened but it's not a big deal (because we don't understand their version of "fun") and then we expect Hillsong to turn this into a story about how their critics are too harsh and negative (and jealous) and take things "out of context." But seriously, is this what Christian pastors should be doing??

"Pastor" Esther Houston has no problem at all with posting sexy pictures of herself. In fact, Hillsong Church links directly to her seductive website full of sexy photos, where you can also find her clothing for sale. We are not making this up! Read about it here: Hillsong Website Links to Lusty Esther Houston Website.

Do not love the world or the things of the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world-the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life-is not from the Father but is from the world.
