What Is This?? Insane Christmas Productions at Church

Here’s a new video that looks at the insane, gigantic, and sometimes un-Christian Christmas productions being done by megachurches:
Because the incarnation of the Son of God just isn't that relevant at Christmas...
"Don't second guess President Donald Trump," said Steve Strang founder and CEO of Charisma Media\Magazine. While appearing on The Jim Bakker Show on June 6, 2017 and commenting on President Trump he said people need to have a spiritual perspective regarding President Trump, he then followed that by telling his listeners not to second guess President Trump. You can listen to the clip below, followed by the full statement from Strang.
Let that sink in. The CEO and founder of a major charismatic media outlet just told us that the spiritual thing to do is not to "second guess President Trump." He's practically declaring President Trump infallible.
Apparently President Trump can do anything and we can't have a discerning or critical eye on him; this is what happens when Christians try to turn political leaders into spiritual leaders by relying on extra-Biblical "prophetic" pronouncements about the constantly shifting seats of earthly power. Almighty God has not given us His opinion about Donald Trump, but hyper-charismatics like Steve Strang believe they speak authoritatively on God's behalf.
It's alarming for someone with such a major influence to call on people to blindly follow a leader with so much power. Such an ignorant call gives the appearance that Christians must willingly consent even if a leader is evil.
Steve Strang has made an idol of a man, and brought reproach on the cause of Christ by calling Christians to follow President Trump blindly.
Do you think the problem with Christian men is that they don't smolder enough, don't have their man bun tied tight enough, and aren't chiseling their body out to the max as they pursue a hyper-testosterone laden spirituality all done in the name of Jesus?
If your answer is yes, I have found the remedy for all that is wrong with Christian men. Meet Cody Bobay and his Soulcon ministry.
His promotional video invites Christian men to enlist into the special forces lifestyle for God's kingdom. There are shades of Rex Kwon Do from Napoleon Dynamite.
Bow to your man bun. I said bow to your man bun!
So what's the problem? Is there something wrong with calling manly men to live for Jesus? Of course not. You may ask again, "What's the problem?"
The problem is with the intentional gimmick, the intentional marketing, and leaning more on that than the simple gospel of Jesus.
For example, he's marketing and selling a vitamin called Soulcon Fuel.
Is this ministry just a platform for him to move product? He sells other vitamins.
What if you are more bookish than athletic? Are the doors closed to such men? What if this ministry pushes men to fill a stereotype of manhood instead of the biblical mold of godliness?
Look at the Amazon.com description for his Soulcon Challenge book.
What if someone's vocation is to sell shoes, and support a wife and kids? What if you're not called to be a special forces sniper?
In this video he describes the Soulcon Challenge.
He says the book walks you through all of the challenges men face. You get to do pushups, sit-ups, run two 5Ks a week, a hell week of not eating carbohydrates.
The gospel doesn't need dressing up, and can be preached effectively without coming up with fancy testosterone laced window dressing topped off with a man bun and smoldering eyes.
If you love sex then you're in for a real treat this weekend at Ignite "Church". Heath Mooneyham, the pastor who was busted for a DUI and restored to ministry in a few short weeks, will be teaching everyone at Ignite how sex doesn't have to be grey.
Below is Ignite's promo video and Facebook post for the sermon. Note: they want people to share this video with their unsaved friends so they'll come to church on Sunday so that Mooneyham can teach them about sex.
Is it any surprise that this ridiculous "pastor" completely mishandles the Word of God? Is it any surprise that he gives a totally Law-based motivational speech that tries to manipulate his audience into doing more?
Listen to the sermon review on this episode of Fighting for the Faith:
Here's the comedian Galagher from the 1980's:
Hmmm, does "pastor" David Hughes remind you of any another guy jumping?...
Here's another great sermon review from BEZELT3:
Vonda Brewer "prophesied" the dumping of Donald Trump as a candidate from the Republican ticket during the primaries, and then during the general election. She "prophesied" that Jeb and his son would be on the ticket instead. She has moved the prophetic goal posts many times as her "prophecy" was proven false.
Vonda Brewer is dead WRONG. "Dump Trump" was a fail. Today her prophetic gravestone has been installed. Luckily for her, it's only figurative, because under the old covenant, she'd be dead. Watch the video below to observe the installation of her "prophetic" gravestone.
Every year the biggest churches put on the biggest spectacles to attract the biggest crowds. Here's a video compilation of a few of the most ridiculous:
Just in case you aren't nauseous yet, here's a post from last year at this time: Battle of the Crazy Gigantic Extreme Christmas Spectacles!
Do you go to Sunday worship service to be sensually seduced? By a female singer dressed kinda like a witch? During a special "sermon series" about Harry Potter?? Church by the Glades has earned their way onto the Museum of Idolatry yet again. Their opener I Put a Spell on You with a Harry Potter theme has a sensual seductive tone.
Sensually scampering down the catwalk.
Sensual shoulder shimmies with webbed cleavage. This woman is obviously made up and dressed to look like a witch (or something like that) as she sings "I put a spell on you." Is this really a good idea for a church service??
Jesus told us to ask not to be lead into temptation, but Church by the Glades seems to think differently. Jesus told us not to imitate the world, but Church by the Glades does it each and every Sunday.

Sunday worship needs more scaramouch. At least that’s what I’m lead to believe based on an opener to come out of Cedar Creek Church during their Sunday worship service. They did a rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody, using wigged head banging men to spice it up.
Bohemian Rhapsody mentions scaramouch. What is scaramouch?
That’s an amazing unintentional and accurate metaphor. Tactics like this during worship boast more in our human genius to keep people in the church instead of trusting in the means God uses to save and grow his church. We end up trusting in our own genius. Ultimately this leads to total buffoonery.

Sadness (the character) literally welcomed you if you attended the Inside Out theme at The Rock Church. The images provided by their Facebook page are a perfect unintended metaphor for what is going on.
So what’s the big deal? This wasn’t an extra curricular outreach. The Rock Church was doing this during their official Sunday worship service. They are unintentionally confessing many things by greeting people at the door with movie themes.
They confess that entertainment, movies, movie characters, and not Jesus are to be on your mind as you enter church. What greets you at the door? What is your attention drawn toward?
Jesus wouldn't be the first thing on my mind if I viewed the above at the door of my church for Sunday worship.
I like Star Wars, but should my church be drawing my attention to Stormtroopers before an official church worship service?
This literally does church inside out. Is our “product” so lame that we think gimmicks are needed to make it appealing? Is the problem that we view the gospel as a product that needs pop culture references to make it appear relevant?
If you attend a church like this, or are involved in leadership making use of these gimmicks, please repent of this nonsense. Our message is the power of God unto salvation. God works through word and sacrament, he doesn’t need manmade religious gimmicks, which are actually neo-traditions of men if you think about it. If you’re looking for something that is actually dry, cold, manmade tradition, then movie theme gimmicks are it. Go back to focussing on the gospel, that is God’s message and God’s power.
Apparently North Point Church refuses to allow Bible verses on their blog:
Above is a screenshot from 6:53 pm of a comment made the morning of Thursday, July 28th, on the North Point Church blog. The comment is simply three Bible verses-without commentary or criticism, but they've never been published. The blog says "Your comment is awaiting moderation." Why doesn't North Point want to allow these Bible verses to be shown on their website? Maybe because they'd have to remove them... like they did earlier on this same morning:
And the next day...
they still won't post Bible verses:
Here's a screenshot from two days later (nothing has changed):
North Point Church is making it more difficult to view their "boy band" video (since we published this a few days ago), so we've made this video to remind everyone of it's questionable and foolish content:
If anyone is interested in seeing how this works, go ahead and post some Bible verses to their "boy band" video page and see what happens: http://blog.northpoint.org/90s-opener/
Here's a whole bunch of Bible verses you may want to share with them:
Shocking Stuff You're Not Supposed to Know!
"Love the way you turn me on." "You got the right stuff, baby."
Imagine you're sitting in church on Sunday during an official worship service, and singers on stage are singing those lyrics. Would you really want to hear lyrics about how a girl turns a guy on because she has the right stuff baby? That's what happened during a Sunday worship service at North Point Community Church-Andy Stanley's church. They opened an official Sunday worship service with hits from the 1990s.
The Apostle Paul said, "We preach Christ and Him crucified," but Stanley seems to be saying "we will put on an elaborate and worldly show to draw a crowd."
Is the Gospel of Jesus Christ not good enough? Does it really need to be dressed up with cheesy boy band songs from the 90s? On top of that, can anyone imagine that any of those performers had any free time left to study God's Word? This is a tightly choreographed and professionally performed medley of (secular) hits; it must have taken many hours of practice and rehearsal to accomplish this. Is this what a church should be encouraging it's people to focus their precious time on? North Point and Andy Stanley have a gigantic effect on other churches in America; many smaller churches study their methods and try to emulate their "success." Lord have mercy...
Here's a quote from Andy Stanley that might help:

The Holy Spirit must find it so much easier to transmit information now, thanks to hand held computing devices:
These people are teaching that Jesus Christ giving His life on the cross isn't enough; to really show His love people need to receive fortune telling-style "prophecy."

Todd Bentley is the fraudulent revivalist who was at the center of The Charismatic Day of Infamy
Shawn Bolz, Bill Johnson, Todd Bentley, Lou Engle and most of the people on stage at Azusa Now are hoping that you don't know about their history of false prophecies, scandal and non-Biblical teachings.
This is NOT a satire piece (Why Mr. Jansen didn't take out his cell phone and snap a few photos is not explained in this article):
"Jeff Jansen Sees Huge Gold Angel at Azusa Now-Charisma News"
But most importantly, "something highly significant has shifted," says Jansen. You know, just like every other time they have a meeting, conference or "revival."
Here are some Facebook screen shots from a few years ago that display Jeff Jansen's narcissistic theology:
Because "spies are cool," and because men might show up at church more often if they talk about James Bond and pretend to be in one of his movies, Church by the Glades has done this:
So this church service is not focused on Jesus, but is more of a "marriage enrichment" session. And if that weren't a big enough distraction from the Gospel, they have this strange obsession with the fictitious character of James Bond, who is a "really cool" womanizer/adulterer.

Here is a screen shot from Jennifer LeClaire's Facebook page today:
Is it really "a John 5:4 season in the body of Christ" as she says?
Well, John 5:4 is the just about the WORST verse in the whole New Testament to be "proclaimed" or "declared" or "decreed." Some translations of the Bible (The NIV and ESV, for example) don't even have this verse-they just go from John 5:3 right to John 5:5! Why? Because this is the story of the angel stirring up the pool water that would cause people to get healed, and many experts believe this was inserted into the Bible later. Many reliable and early manuscripts don't contain this story. The real purpose of this passage is to show that Jesus is God (not that Jesus is your personal genie-in-a-bottle). He's the God who can (really) heal people, and we are not to trust in a pool that's been stirred up by an angel-or any other superstition.
Jennifer LeClaire saying: "it's a John 5:4 season in the body of Christ!" is kinda like saying: "it's a stirred up pool season in the body of Christ!"
By the way, less than a day earlier she declared it was witchcraft season:
How many people who "declare" that "they have their healing" by the "power of their confession" will remain sick and even die? How many will have been distracted from the true power of the Gospel? How many will have fervently tried to "step into the healing flow" without receiving anything? When LeClaire says that you can step into the healing flow and receive God's will for your life, she's saying that it IS God's will for you to be healed. Anyone who doesn't get healed is, in this very faulty way of thinking, outside of God's will. It's your fault-you didn't declare it enough. You didn't believe it enough. You didn't order the DVDs and books enough. You didn't go to the conferences enough. You didn't do something... enough.
The true power of the Gospel is to forgive sins and defeat death! That's greater than any temporary healing.
Here's something we can say with complete confidence:
Here's a much better, Biblical perspective on healing from Joni Eareckson Tada:
